We are looking for someone to join our Maintenance Team who will contribute to the hotel's commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork, and who appreciates high standards of excellence.
Organization - Hotel Avante
A General Maintenance Engineer will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting space, and front-of-house areas. Guest room and public area entry-level preventative maintenance are included. A General Maintenance Engineer will also perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment, requiring skills and experience in these areas, as well as good communication skills.
The pay rate for this position is between $27.00 and $29.00 per hour. This reflects the compensation that Hotel Avante reasonably expects to offer, with individual salaries determined based on factors such as experience and education.

Responsibilities
General maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front-of-house areas.
Perform entry-level preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.
Repair mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment, requiring related skills and experience and good communication with guests and team members.
Qualifications
Experience performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment
Customer service experience is preferred, preferably in a hotel or related field
Flexible schedule for AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays
Strong communication skills
Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced position with guest interaction
Ability to multi-task
Must be 18 years or older
Desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate to heavy amount of weight (minimum 20 lbs)
Basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel)
