• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 79 patients per day (28,415 annual volume)

• Admissions: Yes (8.7% admission rate)

• Case Mix: Emergency Medicine with diverse acuity

FACILITY INFORMATION

• No. of Beds in Department: 10 ED beds

• EMR System: Ochsner Epic

• Office Equipment Available: Standard Emergency Department equipment

• Specialty Backup Available: Cardiology, Endocrinology, Pulmonary, Urology, Gastroenterology, ICU, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, Radiology, General Surgery

• Support Staff Available: APP coverage (12-hour shifts)

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (expedited for clean files)

• Credentialing Timeline: 30-60 days

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Emergency patient evaluation and management

• Acute care stabilization

• Interpretation of diagnostic studies

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active LA license required

• Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine

• DEA: Required

• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS required if not ABEM certified

• Experience: Residency trained required

• Other Qualifications: Willingness to work both day and night shifts

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide emergency medical care to patients across varying acuity levels

• Manage patient flow and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams

• Perform assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans

• Collaborate with support staff and specialists

• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to facility protocols
