Case Mix: Emergency Medicine with diverse acuity

No. of Beds in Department: 10 ED beds
EMR System: Ochsner Epic
Office Equipment Available: Standard Emergency Department equipment
Specialty Backup Available: Cardiology, Endocrinology, Pulmonary, Urology, Gastroenterology, ICU, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, Radiology, General Surgery
Support Staff Available: APP coverage (12-hour shifts)

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active LA license required
Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
DEA: Required
Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS required if not ABEM certified
Experience: Residency trained required
Other Qualifications: Willingness to work both day and night shifts
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide emergency medical care to patients across varying acuity levels
Manage patient flow and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
Perform assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
Collaborate with support staff and specialists
Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to facility protocols
