Job Overview
We are looking to add a Cable Technician to support increased project work. The role involves pulling, terminating, and punching down CAT5 and CAT6 cable, and basic fiber optic cable handling. Technicians will work on new construction sites and existing building renovations, coordinating with electricians, HVAC technicians, and other vendors.
Responsibilities
Pull and run CAT5/6 cable from office cubicles to closet areas.
Terminating and punching down CAT5/6 cable.
Perform basic fiber optic tasks (avoid 90-degree bends).
Prepare cable closets as required for the job.
Work safely and efficiently on renovation construction sites.
Qualifications
Minimum 6 months experience with cable termination, punch downs, and cable running in commercial buildings.
Familiarity with renovation construction environments.
Ability to work with other vendors and within project timeframes.
Presentable, coachable, reliable, and flexible to work overtime.
Entry-level experience acceptable.
Employment
Contract to Hire, based in Wilmington, MA. Pay range: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour.
