Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid role – 3 days/week)
Job Description
A SQL Server Data Warehouse Architectdesigns and optimizes enterprise-level data storage solutions, mapping business needs to technical architectures. Key responsibilities include designing data models, tables, loading patterns, indexing strategies, optimizing SQL Server T-SQL performance, and ensuring data integrity.
Core Responsibilities
Architectural Design:
Develop end-to-end data warehouse structures within Microsoft SQL Server.
Data Modelling & ETL:
Design logical/physical data models and robust ETL/ELT workflows.
Performance Optimization:
Tune SQL queries, indexes, and stored procedures to ensure fast data retrieval.
Governance & Security:
Define data standards, security policies, and documentation to ensure compliance.
Collaboration:
Work with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate needs into technical specifications.
Key Qualifications
Experience:
10+ years in data warehousing, data engineering, or solution architecture.
Technical Expertise:
Expert-level SQL Server (T-SQL) and query plan analysis.
Data Modelling:
Proficient with data modelling and tools like ER/Studio or Erwin.
