Database Engineer 3 - MongoDB
is responsible for supporting enterprise database environments with a focus on
MongoDB and PostgreSQL platforms . This role emphasizes
production support, incident management, database performance tuning, and high availability systems .
This position requires strong expertise in
database operations, troubleshooting, replication, and enterprise database support , ensuring reliability and performance across distributed environments.
Key Responsibilities
Database Support & Operations
Administer and support MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases
Monitor database performance and availability
Handle day-to-day production support activities
Incident Management
Perform L2/L3 support and incident triaging
Troubleshoot database issues and failuresConduct root cause analysis and resolution
Performance Optimization
Tune MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
Optimize queries and database configurations
Database Administration
Manage replication, clustering, and high availability
Support MongoDB Ops Manager and PostgreSQL tools
Handle backup, restore, and disaster recovery
Migration & Infrastructure
Support database and data center migrations
Work with distributed database environments
Ensure system stability during transitions
Collaboration & Documentation
Work with application and infrastructure teams
Maintain documentation, policies, and procedures
Must-Have Qualifications
4+ years of Database Engineering experience
Strong experience with MongoDB administration (Required)
Strong experience with PostgreSQL administration (Required)
Strong production support experience
Experience with incident triaging and troubleshooting
Experience with performance tuning
Experience supporting enterprise database environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with MongoDB Ops Manager
Experience with replication, HA (Replica Sets)
Data Center / database migration experience
Experience with Python or automation tools
Experience with Agile / Jira environments
