Cardiology Physician Assistant

Position Overview:RecruitWell is seeking two Board-Certified Cardiology Nurse Practitioners to provide locum tenens coverage in Tucson, Arizona. This is a clinic-based role with call responsibilities, supporting a hospital-based cardiology service. The assignment runs from May through July 2026 and offers a balanced mix of outpatient care and inpatient support.

• Coverage Dates: May 1, 2026 - July 30, 2026
• Providers Needed: 2
• Schedule: Clinic + Call coverage
• Call Response Time: 30 minutes
• Practice Setting: Hospital-based cardiology service
• Hospital Certification: Stroke Certified
• Patient Assignment: Assigned patients
• EMR: Cerner

• Provide cardiology care in both clinic and hospital settings
• Manage patient evaluations, follow-ups, and treatment plans
• Responsible for interpreting EKGs, telemetry, or other diagnostics on their own (an MD will help with this)
• Handle phone consults ( 15 per shift)
• Perform admissions ( 3 per shift)
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient care
• Respond to call within required timeframe
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in Cerner EMR

• Board Certification - Required
• State License: Active Arizona license - Required
• Certifications:
  • ACLS - Required
• Experience: Prior cardiology experience strongly preferred
• Availability: Must be able to meet call response requirements
