Leasing/Compliance Agent

We are seeking an experienced Leasing/Compliance Agent for a temp-to-permanent opportunity at an affordable housing site in New York City. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on compliance knowledge, a strong command of affordable housing regulations, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This role reports directly to the Property Manager and works closely with the VP of Operations.
Responsibilities
Manage rent stabilization lease renewals in compliance with applicable regulations
Oversee tenant recertification processes to ensure ongoing program eligibility
Maintain accurate and complete resident files and compliance documentation
Coordinate with the Property Manager and VP of Operations on leasing and occupancy matters
Support day-to-day operations of an affordable housing management office
Requirements
Rent Stabilization lease renewal experience
Prior experience in an affordable housing management office setting
Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) certification
Proficiency in Yardi, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
