Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Scheduler, you will orchestrate a seamless and efficient care process for patients and providers by coordinating appointments and managing schedules. Every day you will schedule patient appointments and coordinate multiple provider schedules for medical procedures, tests, and studies. You'll ensure timely scheduling through effective communication, accurately gather and verify patient insurance and documentation, process reports, and provide exceptional customer service to patients via phone and in‑clinic assistance.
Responsibilities
Answer telephone calls or respond to phone inquiries in a timely manner to ensure efficient departmental operations.
Ensure that all procedure appointments are scheduled accurately and legibly while assuring the timeliness of the appointment.
Gather acceptable diagnosis for procedures and inform offices if a diagnosis is not acceptable.
Ensure appropriate resources are attached to procedures and, if scheduling conflicts occur, assist in solving the conflict.
Communicate effectively with team leaders, team members, anesthesiologists, patients, physicians and physician staff to ensure efficient departmental operations.
Verify patient appointments are complete and accurate, including ensuring that all appropriate departments are notified of same‑day add‑ons.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED upon hire.
Strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and excellent communication and reasoning skills.
Ability to manage scheduling complexities and patient inquiries, always striving for accuracy and efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree or other related field upon hire.

Located in Phoenix, Arizona, Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 429‑bed not‑for‑profit hospital with over 2,600 team members and almost 1,000 doctors. The facility includes a Level I Trauma Center, a Heart and Vascular Center, a Wound Healing Center, a Family Birth Center and many additional services.
Pay Range
$19.01 - $24.24 per hour.
