
Dental Billing Specialist

Konza Prairie Community Health Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Billing Specialist to support our dental team by ensuring accurate, timely billing and reimbursement. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient revenue cycle operations while contributing to a positive patient experience through clear communication and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset, along with a genuine commitment to supporting patient care.
Schedule & Perks
Monday–Friday | Hybrid schedule after training (2 days in clinic, 3 days remote)
Clinics close at 2 PM every Friday
Up to 200 hours (5 weeks) PTO annually

Key Responsibilities
Review and verify dental coding (ICD-10, CDT, HCPCS) for accuracy and compliance
Submit and track insurance claims, including follow-up on denials and resubmissions
Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile accounts (EOBs/RAs)
Manage patient billing, balances, and payment plans
Respond to billing inquiries and provide clear, helpful information
Communicate with insurance companies and third parties to secure reimbursement
Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR
Collaborate with dental and administrative teams to support efficient operations
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in a dental clinic setting
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year of dental billing and/or coding experience
Certified Dental Biller and/or Coder
Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, and self-pay billing
EHR experience
FQHC experience
