Overview
We are seeking a talented
Professional Land Surveyor
to join our Survey Team. The ideal candidate will manage and direct both office and field staff while contributing hands‑on expertise in surveying projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, construction, and specialty surveys.
Serve as the signing and sealing Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) for survey deliverables in compliance with Georgia Minimum Technical Standards (MTS).
Participate hands‑on when needed, including field checks, complex boundary analysis, QA reviews, and client meetings.
Mentor and guide survey technicians, crew chiefs, and junior staff to build a strong collaborative team.
Coordinate directly with clients, engineers, contractors, and local officials.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and priorities with a practical, small‑firm mindset.
Help shape internal processes, technology adoption, and long‑term growth strategies.
Support business development by building relationships and representing the firm professionally.
Requirements
Active Georgia PLS license.
Minimum of 5 years of land surveying experience with increasing responsibility.
Strong boundary analysis skills and deep knowledge of Georgia MTS.
Ability to lead while remaining hands‑on; comfortable coaching and performing technical work.
Proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors, and CAD platforms.
Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team‑first mindset.
