
Architect/Landscape Architect – Entry/Junior Level

Position Overview
Entry/Junior Architectural Designer with landscape interests based in the New Orleans office, working with Registered Architects and Landscape Architects on projects across the United States.
Responsibilities
Assist the Design Team in developing and advancing creative design concepts for clients/projects
Produce drawings to create and document architectural and landscape designs
Assist in the development and revision of production drawings and construction documents and correct and update documents as required
Assist in design analysis and compilation of specifications for basic to complex assignments
Assist in preparation of finished material sample boards and graphic presentations for client approval
Assist with coordination of outside disciplines such as Civil, Structural, Electrical and Mechanical consultants
Support review of building codes and zoning analyses to ensure designs comply with minimum legal standards
Takes initiative to explore current graphic standards and building construction methods
Research construction materials and systems
Perform other duties as requested by management
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture with at least 2 years of related design experience
OR Master's degree in Architecture with entry-level (0) years of experience
Interest in Landscape Architecture and willingness to learn design from licensed professionals
Interest in working at all scales of design, from regional systems to details, and all project phases
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Problem- solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn
Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software
Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite
Interest in completing ARE, LARE, LEED AP, or NCIQ exams

Physical Requirements
Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting. Ability to use standard office equipment is required. Travel will be required.
