Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor spearheads the formation of a dynamic maintenance team, embodying the organization’s core values. The Maintenance Supervisor unifies the team through open and respectful communication, pinpointing opportunities and areas of growth.
Shift Schedule
6am - 6pm
Essential Functions Of The Job
Provides daily/weekly direction to maintenance technicians, streamlined with the production schedules; pivots to support production changes
Communicates cross‑departmentally to coordinate maintenance and production work efforts
Participates in the interview process and new hire onboarding
Performs employee reviews, training, coaching and discipline
Posts weekly schedule, using the weekend sign‑up sheets and vacation schedules
Manages the hourly vacation schedule
Partners with the facility’s Project Engineer to assist with project work
Develops and revises maintenance related SOPs
Engages in all aspects of the CMMS (asset tree management, PM optimization, warehouse min/max planning, PDM growth)
Manages the backlog by assigning ready-to-schedule work, ensuring the Planner is providing a proficient plan with parts and material
Manages the life cycle of the work orders through the CMMS; coaches the maintenance technicians in the use of the system, ensuring closure of each work order
Uses CMMS to efficiently plan maintenance activities and track progress
Prioritizes the PM backlog scheduling what is due or past due
Performs PM optimization activities with the maintenance technician
Manages contractor activities while work is being performed onsite ensuring expectations are met
Co‑manages the parts ordering tracking sheet ensuring parts are ordered and received
Manages and follows procurement process as set by the procurement team
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferred
3‑5 years experience coaching and managing a large team in a manufacturing setting
Proficiency using a CMMS to plan and track maintenance activities
Food and beverage manufacturing experience, a plus
Knowledge of Process Safety Management, preferably with regard to ammonia systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice principles, preferred
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support a 24/7 facility
