Transmission Construction Manager
Piper Maddox, Granite Heights, WI, United States
Piper Maddox has partnered with a leading, full-service EPC contractor with over 50 years of experience delivering complex energy and heavy industrial infrastructure projects across the U.S.
The business has evolved from its roots as an electrical contractor into a nationally recognized EPC, supporting oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial, and rapidly growing energy transition markets. With a fully integrated, self-perform model across engineering, construction, electrical, instrumentation, and fabrication, they deliver large-scale projects from concept through commissioning.
As part of their continued expansion - particularly across power delivery and energy transition infrastructure - they are looking to bring on a Transmission Construction Manager to support high-voltage transmission projects across the U.S.
As a Transmission Construction Manager, you will lead on-site execution of high-voltage transmission projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery across all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day field construction activities across transmission projects
Manage subcontractors, crews, and site personnel to ensure schedule and performance targets are met
Coordinate construction sequencing across multiple workstreams, including foundations, structures, and conductor installation
Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project controls teams to ensure alignment across the project lifecycle
Ensure compliance with all safety standards, QA/QC procedures, and regulatory requirements
Interface with utilities, inspectors, and key external stakeholders
Identify and mitigate construction risks, resolving field issues as they arise
Drive productivity and accountability across site teams
Experience Required
Strong experience delivering high-voltage transmission projects (ideally 138kV–345kV+)
Proven track record as a Construction Manager overseeing field execution and subcontractors
Experience with transmission infrastructure including steel poles, lattice towers, foundations, and conductor installation
Familiarity with EPC delivery environments
Strong understanding of safety, QA/QC, and regulatory compliance within transmission construction
Experience managing site logistics, sequencing, and multi-scope coordination
Ability to effectively interface with utilities and external stakeholders
Strong leadership and communication skills
Comfortable working in a travel-heavy, site-based role
