Role Overview: Unpack Your Potential
Join Amcor as a Certified Electrician, where you will be responsible for installing and maintaining wiring, control, and lighting systems. You will inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers, identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices, and repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
Schedule
Shift: 12‑hour, straight nights
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $40.10/hr + $2 shift premium

Responsibilities
Facilitate and enforce all the company safety policies and procedures as they are outlined and defined.
Provide daily maintenance for the plant, performing mechanical, electrical, and preventive (PM) maintenance functions.
Be responsible for the maintenance work in emergency breakdown situations.
Participate with maintenance and manufacturing supervision in establishing priorities for routine maintenance assignments.
Provide daily electrical maintenance, repair and installation of equipment.
Give technical advice to machine operators and manufacturing supervisors on matters relating to equipment modifications and time estimates on maintenance repairs.
Document changes to electrical drawings.
Assist as requested in the layout, installation, movement or dismantling of plant equipment.
Assist in inventories of needed maintenance parts and tools to keep manufacturing equipment running efficiently.
Have strong knowledge of general operation of the machine functions and their capabilities to assist the machine operators.
Work in a team environment with other associates and be self‑motivated when working alone.
Maintain knowledge of National Electrical Codes for proper installation and protection of electrical equipment.
Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, wiring schematics and electrical symbols.
Knowledge of AIMS / SAP is plus.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year prior electrical experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Good computer skills.
Ability to work in a team‑based environment, assist others when needed and lead by example while focusing on safety, quality, and productivity.
Belief in promoting a positive culture within the facility focused on pride, ownership and accountability.
Communication skills – written or oral.
Analytical skills / problem solving.
100% of working hours are spent in a manufacturing production environment with the majority of that time spent standing, walking and moving around the machine to a running manufacturing equipment.
Personal protective equipment is required at all times.
Ability to quantify results, identify new opportunities, adapt to change and interface with all levels of management.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Required to stand, sit, squat, bend, walk, lift and climb frequently throughout the day.
