Position Overview

We have an URGENT opening for a Pediatric Hospitalist to provide weekend call coverage (1 weekend/month) starting in June due to a physician unexpectedly out for back surgery. This coverage fell through last minute, so ready to go providers are strongly encouraged to apply now.

️ STRICT SCHEDULE NO FLEXIBILITY
Provider must fully agree to schedule as written.

️ Schedule & Pay

• Schedule: Friday 5:00 PM Monday 7:00 AM
• Call Type: Not in-house
  Call may be taken from hotel or home
  ️ 30-minute response time required

Patient Coverage & Volume

Coverage includes:

• Newborn Nursery
• ER Call Coverage
• Inpatient Med Ped Unit

Expected Volume (VERY Manageable):

• Inpatient Pediatrics: 1 2 patients total (if any)
• Newborn Nursery: 5 babies over the weekend
• ER Calls: 2 3 per day (usually managed by phone)

Rounding Requirement:

• Must round once daily on Saturday & Sunday in:
  • Inpatient unit
  • Nursery
• Remaining coverage is primarily phone based unless in person care is required

Required Skills

Must be able to:

• Intubate
• Place lines
• Stabilize infants for transport if needed

Circumcisions NOT required

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified Pediatrician preferred
• Board Eligible accepted
• Newer graduates welcome
• ACTIVE Arkansas license REQUIRED
  • Willing to license: NO (timeline is too urgent)

Credentialing

• Expedited credentialing available
• 3 4 weeks turnaround if provider can submit:
  • Case logs
  • Active AR license

MUST WORK DATES (No Exceptions)

Providers must be available for BOTH time frames listed below:

• June 5 at 12:00 PM June 8 at 7:00 AMJune 19 at 12:00 PM June 22 at 7:00 AM
