Hospitalist Physician

Role: Nocturnist - Internal Medicine

Location: Central Arizona (approx. 100 miles north of Phoenix)

Type: Permanent

Employer: Private hospitalist group

Credentialing: Two hospitals (you only work at one per shift/week - no inter-hospital travel)

Start: Open to 2026 residents; H1B visa transfer opportunities available

Schedule: 7-on/7-off; 12-hour shifts (6-6 or 7-7 depending on site)

Volume: 18-22 patients/day (may be higher during busy season)

Admissions:

Hospital : 0-2 from 6 AM-12 PM; daytime admitter 12-8 PM

Hospital : Admissions from 7 AM-12 PM or 4-7 PM

Coverage:

Hospital : 5 hospitalist teams, 2 NP teams, one admitter, ICU nocturnist at night

Hospital : 2 hospitalists + 1 NP team, 1 nocturnist at night

ICU Duties:

Hospital : ICU rounding possible, Intensivist support available

Hospital : ICU rounding required; transfer decompensating patients to Hospital

Codes:

Hospital : Respond to codes/RRTs for own patients; ED/Intensivists lead

Hospital : Respond to all codes/RRTs

Procedures: Not required

EMR: Cerner

• Base Salary: $300,000-$350,000

• Extra Shifts: Available (in-house moonlighting)
