Assignment Details
- Start Date: ASAP - ongoing (until permanent provider is hired)
- Coverage Dates:
- May 26 - June 1
- June 23 - June 29
- Schedule: 24-hour call coverage
- Call Includes: Inpatient coverage, rounding, and procedures
- Hospital-based inpatient GI service
- EMR: Epic
- Support Staff: 3 dedicated inpatient APPs assisting with endoscopy, floor coverage, and ED consults
- Reason for Coverage: Recruiting for permanent GI provider
- Provide inpatient gastroenterology care
- Perform procedures including:
- ERCP (Required)
- Bread and butter endoscopy
- Manage:
- ED consults
- Inpatient consults
- Rounding
- Patient Volume:
- 10-20 patients per day
- 10 admissions per night
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology - Required
- ERCP - Required
- Active Kentucky License - Highly Preferred (IMLC accepted)
- ACLS - Required
- DEA - Required
