Join a leading healthcare provider in the heart of Atlantic City, New Jersey! This prestigious hospital is known for its state-of-the-art facilities and commitment to patient care. The team is looking for a dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgeon to cover a temporary leave of absence from June 1, 2026, to July 13, 2026. The practice environment is hospital-based with a focus on rounding and includes comprehensive ancillary staff support.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform an average of 1 cardiovascular case per day.
- Handle adult cardiac surgeries, including Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG) and off-pump CABG.
- Conduct arterial revascularization procedures.
- Participate in nighttime call responsibilities, approximately 12-13 shifts per month.
- Collaborate with a dedicated surgical team, including PAs and Nurse Practitioners.
- Utilize PowerChart (Cerner) for patient management.
- Provide support in performing additional procedures such as pericardial windows.
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery is required.
- Completion of a fellowship training program.
- Active medical license in New Jersey.
- Experience in level II trauma surgery is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
- New Jersey medical license (Active and in good standing).
- Board Certification in Thoracic Surgery.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
