
Process Engineer

This role focuses on developing, optimizing, and sustaining
coating and paint processes
for plastic and/or optical components in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. The engineer will own
hard‑coat and paint process development , support production, and drive continuous improvement while working closely with cross‑functional teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize
hard‑coat and paint processes for plastics
Own coating process requirements, documentation, and
work instructions
Troubleshoot coating, fluid, and equipment issues to improve quality and yield
Drive process improvements to reduce scrap, downtime, and variability
Track and analyze
KPIs, OEE, and process metrics
Collaborate with suppliers on materials, fluids, and coating technologies
Support new product introductions and process transitions
Qualifications
5+ years of manufacturing experience with a strong
coatings or paint background
Experience with
plastics, optics, or automotive lighting
preferred
Hands‑on process development and continuous improvement experience
