
Diesel Mechanic

Super Truck Center in Genoa City is looking for a skilled Heavy Truck/DOT/Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated service team and help keep our community moving. As a local leader in heavy‑duty repair, we pride ourselves on maintaining a wide range of vehicles—including school buses, RVs, and commercial trailers—with a relentless focus on safety and FMCSA compliance. Responsibilities
Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, school buses, and recreational vehicles per DOT/FMCSA regulations
Diagnose and repair hydraulic components, steering systems, electrical systems, engines, transmissions, drivetrain, and braking systems per DOT/FMCSA regulations
Evaluate equipment for needed repairs
Assist in the parts department as necessary
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a diesel or heavy truck mechanic
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and FMCSA standards
ASE certifications (a plus)
Certifications for brakes to DOT specifications
Technical degree or certification in diesel technology preferred
Knowledge of the operation and mechanical functions of equipment
Must have own tools and a valid CDL driver’s license
Construction knowledge and experience preferred
Physical Requirements
Regularly involves extended periods standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, climbing on/under vehicles and/or equipment, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds in various conditions (outdoors, in shop, etc.)
Work in cold and hot weather conditions
Compensation: $25+ hourly based on experience
