Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team.

The Process Engineer is responsible for engineering process design and specifications for operations and capital project support, supporting growth initiatives, safety improvements, and efficiency improvements. The engineer works both independently and as part of a team to make technical decisions focused on viability, cost, and overall benefits. Responsibilities include creating system designs such as PFDs, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, and equipment specifications.

Typical projects involve expansion or improvement of systems used to manufacture and distribute ultra‑high purity electronic and specialty gases. The Process Engineer leads front‑end system design from scratch and serves as the technical lead through all phases of a project, culminating in system startup and turnover to plant operations. The role requires excellent organization and communication skills and involves collaboration with project management, customers, operations, procurement, safety, and business groups.

Responsibilities

Act as the technical representative in HAZOPs and design reviews.

Participate on project and technical teams, providing guidance to plant operations, projects and other process engineers.

Design and develop project plans (new systems, upgrades, efficiency improvements, and maintenance projects) and execute the plan as part of a team, achieving safety, quality, and business requirements.

Develop designs for gas purification, handling, and disposal systems.

Work with system integrators to develop software for processes.

Ensure compliance with Linde policy and government regulations.

Participate in final field safety inspections.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Chemical preferred.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience creating drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks or other CAD programs.

Positive attitude, adaptable to changing situations, strong communication skills.

Active support of a safety and health culture.

Understanding of the link between business success and customer quality expectations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
