Position Summary 
The General Dentist in St. Paul, MN, provides comprehensive oral healthcare services to adult and pediatric patients in a community health center setting. This role emphasizes preventive care, patient education, and evidence-based treatment while working collaboratively within an integrated care model to support whole-person health.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Care- Perform comprehensive dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Provide a full scope of general dentistry services, including:
- Preventive care (cleanings, fluoride, sealants)
- Restorative dentistry (fillings, crowns)
- Simple and surgical extractions
- Endodontic and limited prosthodontic procedures, as appropriate
- Manage dental emergencies and urgent care needs
- Deliver care in accordance with evidence-based clinical standards and FQHC guidelines
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and treatment options
- Promote patient understanding, compliance, and long-term oral health
- Provide compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive care
- Work closely with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and front-office staff
- Collaborate with medical and behavioral health providers as part of an integrated care team
- Participate in community outreach, school-based programs, or health education initiatives as assigned
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic dental record (EDR)
- Comply with HRSA, OSHA, CDC, and applicable dental practice regulations
- Adhere to infection control, sterilization, and patient safety protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and performance improvement activities
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
- Current or eligible MN dental license
- DEA registration (or eligibility)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Commitment to serving underserved and diverse populations
- Experience in an FQHC, community health center, or public health setting
- Experience treating Medicaid and uninsured populations
- Familiarity with electronic dental records and quality reporting
- Interest in community outreach and preventive dentistry
