Overview:
As an LPN in our IDD program, you will provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure each individual's health, safety, and well-being are prioritized. This position is ideal for compassionate, detail-oriented nurses committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
Required Skills:
- State of Pennsylvania LPN licensure in good standing
- Knowledge of IDD care protocols and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to document accurately and maintain confidentiality
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in an ICF or residential care setting
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems
- CPR certification
- Basic skills in behavior management and patient advocacy
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma or equivalent from an accredited program
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or residential care environment, preferably with individuals with IDD
Other Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel when necessary
- Staying current with all required certifications and licensure renewals
- Ability to work flexible hours, including potential evenings or weekends
