McKelvie Intermediate School is seeking an experienced individual to facilitate all aspects of the Special Education process. This is a 210‑day contract position.
Job Summary
Facilitates all new Special Education referrals.
Monitors IEP implementation.
Represents the District as the LEA at Special Education meetings and provides input to the team.
Organizes and chairs Referral/Review Team meetings.
Responds to parent/teacher concerns and assists in staff development.
Acts as resource consultant to staff.
Works with administrators to build teamwork between Special Education and Regular Education.
Collaborates with the Director of Special Services on budget development.
Develops service plans for privately placed students.
Works with staff to establish observation techniques.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Education.
Special Education Administration Certification.
Minimum of five years’ experience working with Special Education students.
