In this role, you will perform a variety of critical interventions, including embolizations, pulmonary thrombectomies, drainage procedures (abscess, nephrostomy, biliary), IVC filter insertions, central venous access placements (dialysis catheters, central lines, PICCs), TIPS, lumbar punctures, thoracentesis, and paracentesis. Your expertise will ensure patients receive timely and effective care in a dynamic clinical environment, with coverage for daily IR cases and on-call responsibilities.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in vascular and interventional radiology procedures
- Proficiency in embolization, pulmonary thrombectomy, and drainage techniques
- Skilled in IVC filter placement and central venous access (dialysis catheters, PICC lines)
- Competence in TIPS, LP, thoracentesis, and paracentesis
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in outpatient or hospital-based IR services
- Familiarity with advanced imaging technologies
- Bilingual in any additional language
- Certification in interventional radiology specialties
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board-certified or eligible in Radiology, with subspecialty certification in Interventional Radiology
- Minimum of 2 years of recent IR practice in a hospital or clinical setting
Other Requirements:
- Ability to start June 8, 2026, at 7:00 AM
- Willingness to provide IR call coverage through June 12, 2026, at 4:30 PM
- Valid medical licenses along with required certifications
- Travel and licensing reimbursements when applicable
