The job is located at our Landfill site in Lewisburg, TN

Responsibilities
Each day you’ll work at one of our recycling facilities that service over 20 million customers across the USA. Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanics lead and conduct the repair and maintenance of heavy machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.

Repair equipment including bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, front‑end loaders, yard trucks, farm tractors, forklifts, and company cars.

Dismantle equipment and instruct less experienced mechanics in dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.

Repair electrical equipment and diagnose & repair differentials, hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, drives, air‑conditioning systems, and other electrical systems.

Perform preventative maintenance as set out by the site checklist.

Complete paperwork and administrative tasks such as work orders, card files, PM checklists, and oil samples.

Service and maintain other equipment such as light plants, water pumps, welders, and related equipment.

Qualifications

6 years of maintenance mechanic experience on heavy equipment

A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Over 18 years of age

Legally eligible to work in the United States

Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations

Successfully complete and pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constant standing, walking, and grasping; occasional sitting and balancing.

Exposure to physical occupational risks such as cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, etc., often.

Exposure to environmental factors including dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, and similar elements, often.

Work occurs in both indoor garage/shop and outdoor conditions, including inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
