Location & Pay
Location: SMITHFIELD CSC
Pay: $19.72 per hour, may increase with prior DMV experience
Pay Band: 3
Responsibilities
Handle various customer transactions, including communicating policies, procedures, and regulations.
Issue driver and vehicle identification cards.
Process applications for licenses, registrations, and other driver‑related services.
Administer vision, driver, and in‑car road tests.
Process vehicle registrations, titling, tax collection, and other DMV‑related services.
Work with multiple equipment and computer systems as required.
Receive training to ensure success in the role.
Minimum Qualifications
Customer service experience and proficiency with personal computers.
Knowledge of computer information systems, databases, and how they support service operations.
Mathematics and basic accounting practices, including reconciliations.
Ability to interpret, explain, and apply complex statutes such as the Motor Vehicle Code and related regulations.
Analytical skills to assess records and documents to reach logical and legal conclusions.
Ability to work well under pressure during peak workload periods and cooperate within a team environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, courteous, professional, and tactful when interacting with all levels of staff and a diverse customer population.
Work Monday through Saturday with varied hours, operating all necessary equipment and duties at different workstations within the CSC.
Prefer experience with the Privacy Protection Act and DMV policies related to CSC operations.
