Repair & Maintenance Coordinator
based in our
New York City (SoHo) headquarters . This role is responsible for ensuring all locations remain fully functional, safe, and customer-ready, with a strong focus on coordinating repairs and maintenance. The position also supports new store openings, store closures, alarm systems, and business licensing compliance.
Responsibilities
Retail Repair & Maintenance Focus
Serve as the primary contact for all store repair and maintenance requests
Prioritize urgent issues that impact store operations, safety, or customer experience
Dispatch vendors and ensure timely, high-quality completion of work
Track and follow up on all work orders to minimize downtime
Conduct routine store inspections and proactively identify maintenance needs
Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs
Ensure all stores meet brand standards and operational readiness
Coordinate and manage repairs for:
Plumbing and restrooms
HVAC systems
Store fixtures, shelving, and displays
Doors, locks, and flooring
POS and back-office equipment
New Store Openings & Closures
Coordinate maintenance and facility readiness for new store openings
Work with construction, operations, and vendors to ensure all systems (lighting, HVAC, fixtures, alarms)
Schedule and oversee final repairs, punch-list completion, and store setup support
Support store closures, including: coordination of fixture removal and repairs; ensuring utilities are properly shut down; managing vendor access and timelines; preparing locations for handover or lease requirements
Vendor & Cost Management
Source and manage third-party contractors and service providers
Review estimates, negotiate pricing, and control maintenance costs
Build relationships with vendors to ensure fast and reliable service
Track expenses and support maintenance budgeting
Alarm & Security Systems
Coordinate installation, maintenance, and repair of store alarm systems
Partner with alarm vendors to troubleshoot issues and ensure system functionality
Respond to alarm-related incidents to maintain store security
Maintain alarm permits and documentation
Business Licensing & Compliance
Track, renew, and maintain all required business licenses and permits
Ensure compliance with local, state, and regulatory requirements
Coordinate inspections and maintain accurate licensing records
Admin
Manage access to systems and tools for retail employees as part of onboarding / offboarding process
Approve retail supply orders and budgets (including office supplies, branded packaging, etc.)
Maintain retail DTC calendar, store contact information, and distros
Assist with compiling, validating, and analyzing data collection results
Review, code, and approve invoices in accounting payment platform
Qualifications
Strong understanding of retail store systems and maintenance needs
2+ years of experience in retail maintenance, facilities coordination, or multi-site operations
Strong problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with maintenance/work order systems preferred
Salary & Benefits / What We Offer
The compensation for this position ranges from
$33.50 - $35.00 hourly . The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
