Role Overview
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining the hotel’s physical structure, mechanical systems, and equipment. This includes preventative maintenance, repairs, safety inspections, and ensuring the property remains clean, functional, and welcoming for guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair interior and exterior areas of the hotel, including guest rooms, public spaces, laundry, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and pool systems

Inspect operating systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient performance

Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed

Keep the maintenance shop clean, organized, and secure

Assist guests courteously and professionally, ensuring prompt resolution of issues

Respond to hazardous situations, emergencies, or security concerns

Maintain hotel grounds, including exterior cleanliness and safety

Assist with hotel security to minimize risk of theft, crime, and hazards

Ensure all team members use Quore daily and are properly trained

Follow all Hilton brand standards, A&R policies, and safety procedures

Serve as a Brand Ambassador for A&R Group’s culture, mission, and values

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Ability to follow directions, priorize tasks, and complete work reliably

Proficiency with Quore preferred

High energy, strong work ethic, and self‑motivation

Ability to work with machinery indoors and outdoors

Strong customer‑service and communication skills

Excellent problem‑solving abilities

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change

Flexibility to work overtime during busy periods

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety

Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and move throughout the hotel for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks

Professional, ethical, and a strong team player

Quick learner with the ability to work independently

Working Conditions

Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and climbing

Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Ability to climb ladders up to 30 feet

Exposure to outdoor weather conditions

Working near moving mechanical parts

Potential exposure to fumes or airborne particles

Loud noise levels typical for maintenance environments

Regular need for clear communication, situational awareness, and problem‑solving
