Responsibilities
The role of the Construction Project Executive is responsible for providing overall management for large projects, leading the project team(s), and ensuring project success with all construction partners.
The Project Executive reports directly to the Director of General Contracting.
Primary representative of RGC and responsible for developing and expanding relationships with internal and external clients.
Primary client contact for managing client expectations.
Ensure consistent performance and project delivery that exceeds client expectations.
Responsible for all project commitments and follow‑through.
Arrange opportunities for personal interaction and networking among those surrounding the client from architects, engineers, brokers, and other staff associated with and supporting the client.
Participate in bid proposal kick‑off meetings.
Assist and manage proposal responses, schedule development, and lead shortlist presentations of the team.
Conduct post‑closeout review of the project.
Provide leadership in business judgement and all financial and profitability aspects of projects under your jurisdiction.
Help acquire and define projects and develop budgets that achieve profitability objectives, taking into account project‑specific challenges.
Set appropriate milestones and assign staff qualified to handle the scope and complexity of the project.
Work closely with clients, owners, architects and subcontractors to develop relationships that exceed client satisfaction to RGC’s demanding standards.
Oversee management of all necessary resources throughout the entire project from start‑up through closeout.
Oversight of projects at a high level from beginning to end, including budget, costs, unexpected events, performance, and progress against plan.
Ensure day‑to‑day operations of projects are transitioned effectively to Project Managers and Superintendents from Preconstruction once work commences in the field.
Mentor, train, and coach staff to perform to or exceed RGC standards.
Represent RGC to owners, architects, consultants, government authorities, vendors and subcontractors.
Lead project acquisition of internal and external opportunities.
Understand unique owner needs to represent RGC capabilities and help close potential projects.
Review projects for unique challenges that impact budget and profitability objectives.
Assign appropriate Project Management Staff in association with the Operations Manager.
Review and approve pre‑mobilization activities.
Ensure turnover meeting occurs between Preconstruction and Operations teams.
Project Management, Quality Review and Project Close‑Out; responsible for ensuring projects achieve budget and profitability objectives.
Monitor and evaluate Project Management and Superintendent staff assignments.
Accurately manage the forecast of project performance.
Visit sites regularly to monitor project performance, schedule and expenditures; identify potential challenges and lead solutions.
Monitor client relationships and address issues as needed.
Attend all scheduled meetings to monitor and manage project profitability.
Maintain continuous client contact to gauge performance perceptions and communicate relevant information to Project Team.
Ensure Project Management staff is trained according to RGC guidelines.
Recruit qualified talent; mentor, coach and train to perform and match talent to project scope.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school degree or GED required.
10+ years in project management experience.

Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $133,700 – $179,400. Compensation is determined by several factors that vary depending on the position, including the individual’s experience, skills, and the knowledge they bring to the specific role.
