Police Department 2026 Summer Bridge Student Assistant
Part-time position, Up to 40 hours per week, Pay rate $18.50 per hour.
Job Summary
Assist the Police Department supporting the front desk reception area, assisting customers and general office duties.
Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to university community and public at the front desk, receive and direct visitors, resolve inquiries regarding parking and other matters, and screen and route phone calls.
Perform general office duties including mail reception and distribution, copying, faxing, filing, maintaining office supplies, files, reports, and forms.
Deliver parking permits for all department requests.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to provide excellent customer service.
Ability to exercise tact, courtesy, alertness, and good judgment.
Ability to learn and communicate parking rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Excellent written, verbal, reading, and oral communication skills.
Effective organizational skills.
Maintain a neat, professional appearance.
Dependable, complete tasks promptly, ready to work at start of each shift.
Quick learning and application of campus rules.
Discretion and confidentiality in environment.
Initiative to develop and improve skills.
Physical ability to carry, squat, kneel, twist, and walk across campus.
Valid Driver’s License.
Successful completion of CLETS training.
