Our client in Plano, TX is seeking a Production Technician (Computer/Software Industrial Technician) to join their team. You will support the production floor, customizing, configuring, and testing hardware for servers, laptops, and racks. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay Range:
$20.00 - $24.00/hr depending on experience

Hours / Location:
7:00 am to 4:00 pm / Plano, TX
What’s the Job?
Install and configure various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) across a range of hardware
Create and configure RAID arrays
Flash customer BIOS and firmware
Install software images (via PXE or internal/external storage)
Assemble and customize computer hardware per build documentation
Perform diagnostic testing using tools such as PCDr, MemTest, and SeaTools
Identify, quarantine, and troubleshoot defective hardware
Inspect systems and accessories for quality
Record production activities and report issues
Support packing/unpacking of materials
Move batches of computers between stations for configuration and packaging
Work extended hours during peak production periods
Assist with assembly technician tasks as needed
What’s Needed?
Knowledge of computer hardware and basic networking
Familiarity with Windows or Linux operating systems (academic or personal experience welcome)
Ability to follow detailed instructions and meet production schedules
Good motor skills for fine assembly work
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 35 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally with assistance)
Education or training in hardware/software technology is a plus—new grads are encouraged to apply
