Test Technician ll 4th Shift (Onsite - Puerto Rico)

Position Summary
Test Technician responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting product testing for public release. The role is based in Santa Isabel, PR; the employee must reside in Puerto Rico at the time of hiring. Relocation is not offered.

What You Will Do

Interact with engineering, manufacturing, and other functional groups on routine technical matters.

Set up and operate various test stands.

Configure test equipment for special tests as needed.

Interpret and record test results.

Recognize and isolate test equipment failures.

Take electrical measurements to determine selected resistors, applying strong math skills.

Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electronic units to the sub‑assembly and component level.

Read and interpret technical data such as component maintenance manuals, engineering prints, and schematics.

Communicate work status to team members and support staff (e.g., shift hand‑offs, engineering, maintenance).

Perform technical tasks based on detailed written or verbal instructions.

Utilize a variety of microelectronic, electronic, optical, electro‑optical, mechanical, or electromechanical equipment, including computers and lasers.

Perform entry‑level troubleshooting, calibration, or modification of hardware, fixtures, and software.

Participate on project teams.

Prioritize tasks.

Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance, and use of products, devices, tests, or procedures under constantly changing conditions, exercising ingenuity and judgment as required.

Support activities through problem resolution and preparation and maintenance of documentation.

Manage workflow across the area to achieve team goals.

Evaluate and troubleshoot non‑conformances.

Fabricate hardware, equipment, tools, or prototypes from drawings or sketches.

Estimate labor, material, and manufacturing costs for building and repairing product or process enhancements.

Record time changes, test data, parts usage, and other information, requiring limited data interpretation.

Use multiple databases to create or retrieve necessary information to support decision‑making.

Qualifications

High school diploma (or equivalent, e.g., GED) and an associate degree or vocational/technical education in electronics or related field.

Minimum one year of relevant experience.

Proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.

U.S. citizenship required.
