Employment Paralegal
to join our team in California.
Ideal candidate will have proven working experience in Labor & Employment.
Position Duties
Experience handling multiple attorneys with full caseloads.
Heavy client contact, contact with witnesses and opposing counsel to obtain information pertinent to the case matter.
Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, disclosures, and discovery requests.
Research and analysis of case issues, including medical research of facts, and medical record chronology.
Follow the ethical requirements as set forth by the Rules of Professional Conduct of the State.
Ensuring that all important events/deadlines are properly calendared, tracked, and communicated to all participants with support of the Legal Assistant
Auditing cases to ensure client files are up to date to prepare for depositions, mediations, trials, and arbitrations.
Assisting with witness preparation, direct examination, binders/folders for depositions, mediation, and trial.
Requirements
Well versed in both federal and state court procedure and filing requirements, to include E‑Filing in federal court.
LexisNexis and court filing docketing.
Minimum of 3-5 years of pre‑litigation and litigation paralegal experience.
Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
The ideal candidate will take the initiative, have strong attention to detail, highly organized & has impeccable communication skills.
Paralegal Certificate.
