Position Summary
Villanova University Athletics seeks a highly motivated, skilled, and passionate audio freelancer to join our Athletics Game Production team. The Audio Technician manages set‑up, operation, and strike of all audio equipment associated with a game production script under the direction of the Villanova Athletics Marketing/Operations staff and Athletics Building Engineer, complying with NCAA regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of audio and communications during set‑up, performance/event, and strike.

Oversee and operate audio systems throughout the entire venue.

Ensure event audio needs are implemented and executed in accordance with the game script.

Plan and execute sound checks, equipment placement, volume and sound quality.

Understand production control room terminology and possess working knowledge of current technology.

Ensure the safety and secure storage of audio equipment at all times.

Apply safe work methods and comply with equipment safety standards and regulations.

Provide support and assistance to other venue areas as needed.

Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

2–4 years of related audio experience in live game production.

Advanced knowledge and experience with audio set‑ups, execution, and strikes.

Proficient in using the Yamaha QL1 audio console.

Familiar with Dante audio network.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Team player who works well in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of additional audio consoles.

General knowledge of NCAA regulations.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours

Available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
