Stable, thriving company seeks to add a Design Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer to the team. In this role you will design and improve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components and systems. This role links product design and production, supporting new product development and continuous improvement of existing equipment and systems. The position is located in University Park, IL and will be 100% on‑site with hybrid flexibility to follow later.

Job Details
Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 per year.

Requirements

At least 2 years of design or manufacturing engineering experience involving pneumatic and hydraulic systems

Comfort working on the shop floor with technicians on redesigns

Fundamental knowledge of reverse engineering and reengineering

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (required)

SolidWorks proficiency with experience in product data management and ERP systems

Previous experience with troubleshooting, problem‑solving, teamwork, and good communication skills (essential)

Knowledge of FMEA, Lean Manufacturing practices, Value Engineering, and Six Sigma is a plus
