A cancer center is seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician for locum tenens coverage to support maternity leave. Orientation - $400/hr Hourly - $600/hr Position Details Specialty: Hematology / Oncology Practice Setting: Outpatient Cancer Center Coverage Type: Locum Tenens Dates: September 1, 2026 January 18, 2027 Schedule Monday Wednesday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM No call No weekends Patient Population Adult and geriatric Clinical Mix 60% Hematology 40% Oncology Patient Volume Outpatient: 13 patients per day Hospital (rounding/call): 2 patients per day Clinical Responsibilities Provide outpatient hematology/oncology care Perform patient evaluations Order and interpret labs and imaging Prescribe treatments Participate in tumor board discussions Chemotherapy administered by nurse oncologist Practice Environment 1 physician in practice 1 APP EMR: Epic Credentialing Estimated timeframe: 120 days Travel Flight Hotel Rental car Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate Requirements Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology required Ohio license preferred BLS required Clean background required Must confirm availability for listed dates and schedule required Self-Query NPDB (within 30 days) required at presentation About WhiteCoat Locums: - Physician owned and led agency - Highest-Pay rates on the market - $1m/3m malpractice insurance and tail - 100% transparency
