Job Summary
The Senior Clinic Practice Manager at North Mississippi Health Services plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of their assigned region and home clinic. They ensure patient satisfaction goals, clinical standards, and quality benchmarks are achieved while supervising and coaching employees. As a manager of people, this role supervises a team and optimizes operations within a designated department or area, ensuring productivity and effective team management.
Job Functions
Coordinates/oversees the daily functions/activities of the assigned region and home clinic.
Assures patient satisfaction goals, clinical goals and quality standards are met.
Supervises and provides coaching for employees within scope of responsibility.
Schedules staff members to ensure adequate coverage.
Ensures all employees within scope of responsibility have adequate knowledge of required policies & procedures.
Budget
Prepare and maintain budgets to meet departmental and organizational goals including personnel, expenses, and revenue.
Responsible for efficient and effective communication between Clinic Staff, NMMC, NMMCI, and NMHS Administrative staff.
Adheres to NMHS/NMMC/NMMCI Policies/Procedures/Guidelines.
Complies with State/Federal regulations, laws, and policies.
Additional Responsibilities
On-board new managers and provide continuing education/coaching to the assigned region.
Coordinate with the Director/Regional Director in budget preparation and financial success of the region.
Serve as a resource to other practice managers regarding quality/value-based initiatives.
Ensure adequate team and provider staffing in regional clinics.
Coordinate and lead special projects with the Director/Regional Director to maximize operations.
Support multiple clinics as needed to cover vacancies.
Function at a higher level of leadership to support clinic administration projects as needed.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in business management or related field (required).
Associate's Degree with 4 years of clinic manager experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree (required).
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 8 years of clinic manager experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree (required).
Work Experience
Minimum 3 years of supervisory/managerial experience (required).
Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinic or other ambulatory setting (preferred).
Skills, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work well with a wide variety of people.
Excellent written, computer, and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills (written and oral).
Knowledge of State and Federal Regulations regarding clinic systems (preferred).
Interaction with a patient population of all ages ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
Extensive contact with patients, family members, staff, providers, insurance companies, and industry representatives.
Positive, caring attitude toward clients, patients, staff and the public served.
Ability to staff clinics during various situations such as absence, peak, and slow times.
Ability to address customer service complaints.
Ability to adhere to clinic budgets.
Effective and confidential communication of issues to patients, staff, and public.
