Ocean Spray’s Insights Team is looking for a Sr. Manager of Insights to assist in the development and execution of Ocean Spray’s brand strategy by leading key stakeholders through the insight discovery and validation process. The ideal candidate will be a strategic business partner to the Ocean Spray business unit working together to identify big ideas that drive significant growth to the business and for Ocean Spray.

Role has hybrid flexibility with a location of Lakeville with occasional flexibility to work in Boston office.

A Day in the Life...
Strategic Business Partner With US Business Unit

Embedded into the business team with a seat at the table representing the integrated voice of the consumer and market to ensure learnings are embedded in decision making.

Provides an in-depth understanding of consumer, customer and market to provide insights that are embraced, acted upon and lead to business growth.

Possesses a broad business acumen that allows engagement in the entire business needs, including market analytics, consumer, shopper and trends.

Works to raise the business team’s consumer and analytic understanding for their business, a continual learning environment.

General Manager For All Insights Activities

Develop and establish annual learning plan for business unit ensuring that it linked to strategic issues that drive towards growth. Responsible for methodology selection and budget management.

Flexibility in both working to execute projects as well as collaborate and leverage all relevant insights impacting the Ocean Spray brand.

Identify key market and cultural trends relevant to business objectives. Develop insights to feed idea generation phase.

Identify consumer demand using segmentation and other custom studies.

Uncover functional and emotional benefits and connections to the Ocean Spray brand.

Manage relationships with various agency and research partners to improve quality and impact of insights.

Act as leader within insights organization with 1 to 2 direct reports

What We Are Looking For

Bachelor's Degree or higher.

Minimum 10+ years' experience in consumer brand planning/brand/insights. Advertising. Brand tracking and copy testing experience a plus.

7 or more years of experience in managing/integrating syndicated and primary consumer research

Experience in discovering, identifying, and analyzing customer/user and mega trends

Experience in managing projects

Experience in establishing internal and external partnerships

Proven collaboration abilities, strategic thinking and leadership skills

Experience collaborating with innovation and product development teams

Passion for staying up to date on insight industry topics and methodologies such as when and how to use AI, predictive analysis, needs segmentation and consumer segmentations.

Must demonstrate both analytical AND creative thinking abilities

Must be highly creative, innovative and design/consumer minded

Proven record of establishing internal and external partnerships

Exceptional communicator (verbal and written) at all levels inside and outside the organization

Ability to tell a story and simplify complex data in a few meaningful slides

Ability to connect and translate research findings based on deep consumer understanding and brand truths into marketing strategies to drive growth on existing brands and innovation.

Has the confidence and ability to engage with management and influence brand strategy by establishing themselves as the voice of the consumer

Ability to influence. Knowing the balance between data and experience with a bias for action.

Knowledge of insights tools and processes including segmentation and demand spaces (need states), positioning and concept development and optimization, product development and optimization, packaging development, volumetric assessment and cannibalization.

Ability to conduct and interpret market research, including ethnographic research

Intellectually curious about consumer behavior, pushes to get a deeper understanding via new approaches and techniques

Synthesis of insights from disparate sources of data

Industry and market analysis

Proficient in statistics, experimental design, survey creation and analysis, qualitative research (traditional focus group techniques and ethnography).

Proficient in syndicated data sources including marketing mix, pricing and consumption data (IRI, Nielsen)

Must be a creative collaborator who can lead both internal and external teams in through both the ideation and development phases.

Passion for CPG and food beverage industry preferred.

Education
Bachelor's or University Degree (Required) Master's Degree (Preferred)

Annual Salary
$147,200 - $202,400
