Description
Position Summary:
The
Forklift Operator
is responsible for operating stand-up powered industrial trucks to safely transport, stage, and store materials within the warehouse. This role supports high-volume logistics operations by ensuring accurate inventory movement, efficient material flow, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
What will you do:
Operate forklifts such as reach trucks and order pickers to move materials within warehouse aisles and rack systems
Perform daily equipment inspections and document any safety or maintenance concerns
Accurately scan, move, and place inventory using RF scanners and warehouse systems
Load, unload, and stage materials to support production and shipping requirements
Maintain proper inventory placement and ensure product integrity during handling
Follow all safety policies, standard operating procedures, and company guidelines
Requirements
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating stand-up forklifts (reach truck, order picker) preferred
Ability to obtain certification for powered industrial equipment
Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Must be able to pass a drug screening
Work Environment:
Warehouse environment with narrow aisles and elevated racking systems
Frequent standing for extended periods while operating equipment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Exposure to moving machinery and moderate to high noise levels
Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
