Overview
The Senior Accounting Analyst will support the accounting team with monthly close processes, reconciliations, and financial analysis. This position requires strong technical accounting skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with operations and finance teams. The role offers exposure to U.S. and global financial reporting in a growing manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Execute monthly close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Analyze variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights to leadership.
Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and related reporting.
Support inventory accounting processes, including cycle counts, valuation, and cost analysis.
Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits and tax compliance.
Assist with global consolidation activities and intercompany reconciliations.
Develop and maintain Excel-based reporting tools and dashboards.
Collaborate with Operations to ensure accurate cost reporting and margin analysis.
Complete ad hoc projects, process improvements, and special analyses as needed.
Mentor junior accounting staff on processes and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3‑5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or cost accounting.
CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Proven analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
