Facilities Technician - Las Vegas Fixed Route
Transdev in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking a Facilities Technician. Facilities Technicians are responsible for the maintenance support, and operation of buildings, grounds, and facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot, install and repair building and structural systems while following a preventative maintenance program.
Key Responsibilities
HVAC chiller unit, rooftop units, etc.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical and lighting equipment and components.
Maintain a stringent preventive maintenance program required by the client.
Troubleshoot, install, and repair various building and structural systems and site work.
Test and inspect facility equipment and perform preventive maintenance as required.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Facility maintenance-related certifications, education, and training preferred.
High School Diploma or GED required.
3+ years of experience in a facilities maintenance worker position.
Broad knowledge, skill, and ability in various maintenance and repair disciplines (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical). Welding and fabrication skills preferred, but not required.
Ability to safely operate a variety of motor vehicles.
Ability to safely operate a forklift, boom lift, scissor lift, and other motorized equipment.
Ability to operate power and hand tools commonly used in maintenance and construction.
Physical Requirements
Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions; 100% of the job is performed outside, alone and in remote locations.
Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing job duties; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
Compensation
Starting pay $34.34/hour with progression to $35.71/hour over 1 year.
