The Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. This role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and ledger maintenance
Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Month-End / Year-End Close
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Prepare supporting documentation
Accounts Payable / Receivable
Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
Ensure timely vendor payments
Financial Reporting
Prepare financial statements and reports
Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
Support audits and provide required documentation
Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Maintain internal controls and documentation
Support audit processes
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Experience with accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar)
Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
Attention to detail and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
CPA or CPA candidate (Preferred)
Experience in corporate / manufacturing environment
Experience with ERP systems
Strong communication skills
