We are seeking a hands‑on Regional Controller to lead accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance for a multi‑location transportation operation. This role partners closely with operations leadership to drive efficiencies, improve cost visibility, and ensure financial accuracy across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close
Prepare and review GAAP‑compliant financial statements
Analyze route performance, labor, fuel, and maintenance costs
Track capital expenditures and asset utilization (fleet, equipment)
Partner with operations to improve efficiency and productivity
Maintain internal controls and support audits
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Manage and develop accounting staff
Improve systems, reporting, and processes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in accounting or finance (CPA a plus)
6–10 years of progressive experience
Experience in transportation or other asset‑heavy industries preferred
Experience supporting route-based or field operations strongly valued
Strong GAAP, close process, and ERP experience
Advanced Excel and cross‑functional collaboration skills
Compensation
Base salary: $110,000 up based on experience
