Position Overview
1PM–7AM Weekends Required
We are seeking a warm, detail-driven
Night Audit
professional to join our overnight team and ensure a seamless guest experience while maintaining the safety, accuracy, and calm overnight rhythm of the hotel. This role blends guest service, light administrative work, and operational support to uphold the elevated hospitality standard of The Nickel.
Key Responsibilities
Complete a nightly checklist of tasks including posting charges on guest bills, writing detailed notes, cleaning and breakfast setup
Manage online, phone, and in-person room reservations
Welcome guests, check them in, distribute room keys and explain the hotel’s amenities
Take payment from guests
Respond to guests’ issues and complaints in a friendly, timely manner
Explain local amenities and attractions to guests
Create detailed itineraries for guests including transportation, restaurant reservations, tour reservations etc.
Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special client needs
Maintain the safety and security of the premises during the overnight hours, report any incidents as necessary
Prepare daily reports for the valet team
Communicate effectively with day staff to ensure a seamless transition between shifts
Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively (e.g., fire alarms, medical incidents, security issues)
Qualifications
1+ year of front desk, concierge, or guest-service experience (hotel or luxury residential preferred)
Strong communication skills and a naturally warm, guest-focused demeanor
Ability to remain composed, professional, and attentive during quiet or high-pressure moments
Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions overnight
Basic proficiency with reservation systems and front-office software
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Flexible schedule with availability for overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
