
Civil Litigation Paralegal

We are a busy civil litigation firm seeking an experienced lead paralegal to support our attorneys and manage cases from intake through resolution. This is a fully in-person position and requires someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
3–5 years of plaintiff-side civil litigation experience (mass tort or wildfire litigation strongly preferred)
Proven ability to support multiple attorneys simultaneously in an active litigation environment
Strong case management experience, including tracking deadlines, managing calendars, and maintaining organized files
Hands-on experience with discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery, coordinating document collection, and managing productions with Bates numbering
Experience communicating professionally with clients, vendors, and opposing counsel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting client emails, correspondence, and formal letters with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to communicate with clients in a clear, calm, and reassuring manner, particularly in high-stress situations
Friendly, professional, and upbeat personality with the ability to work well with coworkers and contribute positively to a team environment
Strong phone presence, including the ability to build rapport quickly, communicate confidently, and represent the firm well in all client interactions
Proficiency in Clio, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines without constant direction
Core Responsibilities
Independently manage a high-volume caseload and keep cases moving forward
Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and respond to inquiries
Draft and send client communications and legal correspondence
Coordinate, track, and manage all aspects of discovery and document production
Communicate with vendors and opposing counsel to move cases forward efficiently
Support attorneys in litigation and mediation preparation
Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date records in Clio and internal systems
