Entry-Level IT Support Technician (Warehouse Environment)
TEKsystems, North Haven, CT, United States
Location: North Haven, CT
Schedule: First shift, on-site
Pay Rate: Up to $18/hour
Duration: Ongoing / long-term (no planned end date)
Overview
We are hiring an entry-level IT Support Technician to support a commercial furniture remodeling company that partners with large enterprise clients across New England. This role is fully on-site and based out of a warehouse environment. It is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is comfortable with hands‑on work, flexibility in daily tasks, and a non‑office setting.
This is a blended role that supports both IT operations and warehouse activity as business needs shift day to day.
What You’ll Be Doing
A primary responsibility of this role is configuring, imaging, and preparing laptops and other end‑user devices for deployment. You’ll follow documented procedures to set up systems, perform basic troubleshooting, and ensure devices are ready for internal teams and project use.
When there are limited or no computers to configure, this role will support warehouse operations as needed. This may include staging and organizing equipment, assisting with inventory related to technology assets, moving and unpacking devices, and working alongside warehouse and project teams to keep operations moving smoothly.
This is not a desk‑only position. The workload will fluctuate, and flexibility is key—some days will be more IT‑focused, while others will involve supporting warehouse functions.
Who This Role Is For
This role is well‑suited for someone who is early in their IT career and comfortable in hands‑on, physical work environments. Candidates from warehouse, construction, manufacturing, or trade backgrounds who are transitioning into IT are encouraged to apply.
Ideal candidates are reliable, adaptable, and willing to pitch in where needed while learning foundational IT skills on the job.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must be comfortable working full‑time in a warehouse environment and assisting with non‑IT tasks when business needs require it. Basic computer knowledge is required, along with an interest in learning device configuration and IT support functions. Strong work ethic, dependability, and the ability to follow processes are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
An entry‑level IT certification (CompTIA A+, Google IT Support, or similar), recent technical coursework, or hands‑on experience configuring or imaging computers is a plus, but not required.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
