Job Description
ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN, MAINTENANCE II - TM, ERCC #2, B-11151 (B-4A), Eglin AFB, FL. Three positions. Classified as Electronics Technician Maintenance II (CBA Rate $35.50/Hr). Non-Exempt; Regular Full-time. On Site.

Essential Functions
The Electronics Technician, Maintenance II must have a minimum of two years' experience as an Electronics Technician. Radio frequency (RF) systems are highly desired. Telemetry data collection or related systems experience—e.g., tracking radar, passive aircraft tracking—is highly desired. Familiar with electronics principles and able to use test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, frequency counters, etc. Must read technical data and schematic diagrams with little assistance. Working knowledge of antennas and antenna theory is a plus. Applicants must adhere to safety and environmental policies and wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, earplugs, harnesses, etc.

General Duties

Receives work assignments from the supervisor or more qualified technicians.

Primary duties include inspection, maintenance, modification, repair, and operation of mobile and fixed site telemetry collection systems.

Subject to cross‑utilization in areas such as ground‑to‑air radios, microwave communications, and radar systems.

Requires understanding of circuit interrelationships, performing independent judgments on circuit analyses, calculating waveforms, installing wiring, and tracing signal flow using complex test instruments.

Will be required to remove, lift, carry, and replace system components up to 50 lbs unassisted.

Will be required to climb ladders, towers, platforms, etc. to facilitate maintenance and repair of antennas and related electronic or mechanical systems.

Primary work environment is indoors in a climate‑controlled building, with outdoor work in cold, heat, dust, and high humidity as needed.

Performs other duties such as maintenance of government vehicles, facility and grounds maintenance, work area clean‑up, or administrative duties as required.

Supports company process‑improvement initiatives.

May be required to obtain specialized certifications and training.

Will be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Education & Experience
Must be a technical or service school graduate in electronics and have two years' experience as an Electronics Technician. Possession of a CDL Class B or C is a plus. A current Electronics Technician Certification is a plus. Minimum five years' experience working in an RF systems field is desired. Telemetry data collection or related systems experience—including tracking radar and passive aircraft tracking—is highly desired.

Other Requirements
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security, and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement.

Work Environment
Primary work environment is indoors in a climate‑controlled building, but required to work outdoors in cold, heat, dust, and high humidity. Performs other duties such as maintenance of government vehicles, facility and grounds maintenance, work area clean‑up, or administrative duties as required.

Physical Demands
Required to climb, bend, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds, pull, or carry heavy items. Must be able to climb all antenna towers, ladders, and safety devices to heights of 45 to 100 feet and lift 50 pounds unassisted.
