Reliance Test & Technology – Electronics Technician, Maintenance II
Location: Port St. Joe, FL.
Security Clearance Required: Secret.
Job Overview
Supports E-OMS operational objectives, interfacing with military and civilian customers to ensure mission success. Primary job function includes operations and maintenance support of the D-3 Radar Systems used to support Eglin/Tyndall AFB test missions, as well as troubleshooting, repair, and modification of assigned systems/equipment. Technical responsibilities may include cross training on ground-to-air radio, line-of-sight microwave, telemetry, data, and site communications systems.
Key Responsibilities
Receives work assignments from supervisor or more qualified technicians.
Inspection, maintenance, modification, repair, and operation of mobile and fixed site telemetry collection systems.
Cross-utilization in areas such as ground-to-air radios, microwave communications, and radar systems.
Analyze circuit relationships, perform circuit analyses, calculate waveforms, install wiring, trace signal flows using complex test instruments.
Climb ladders, towers, platforms to facilitate maintenance and repair of antennas and related electronic or mechanical systems.
Maintain government vehicles, facility and grounds, work area clean-up, and perform administrative duties as required.
Support company process improvement initiatives.
Obtain specialized certifications and training as required.
Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Handle hazardous material or hazardous waste as required.
Observe company quality, safety, environmental, security, and administrative policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Technical or trade school graduate in electronics with at least two years’ experience as an Electronics Technician.
Proficient with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and frequency counters.
Capable of working with limited supervision.
Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required).
Valid driver’s license.
Physical: Able to climb antenna towers with ladders or safety climb devices to heights of 45–100 feet, lift 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, operate in hot and cold weather.
Work Environment
Outside work in hot and cold weather. Requires working on towers and in confined spaces.
